India today, has the 5th largest installed wind power capacity in the world. Till date, we have installed 27 wind turbines of various capacities, in three districts of Maharashtra- Nashik, Sangli & Satara. The turbines provide 29.25 MW of electricity to the power deficit state, lighting the way to millions of homes.
We have developed a wind power project under the Clean Development Mechanism of Kyoto Protocol, to significantly reduce Green House Gas emissions into the atmosphere. This is how we have majorly contributed to the global climate change mitigation initiative in the developing world.
